Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 26, 2026 · Standard commercial terms between Janvi Arts and converters, printers, and brand owners.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client," "Converter," or "Brand Owner") and Janvi Arts("Janvi Arts," "we," or "us"), having its principal facility at Plot No. 97, Industrial Area Phase 1, Press Site, Chandigarh – 160002, India.
By accessing our website, uploading artwork files, requesting quotes, or placing purchase orders for flexographic prepress services and digital photopolymer plates, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
2. Scope of Prepress & Platemaking Services
Janvi Arts specializes in technical prepress engineering and flexographic plate processing, encompassing:
- Preflight verification, vector separation (CMYK + Spot Pantone), trapping, and pull-backs.
- Circumferential cylinder distortion calculations matching specified gear pitch, repeat length, and mounting tape thickness.
- Digital photopolymer plate imaging using Kodak Flexcel NX (flat-top dot thermal lamination) and Esko LAMS high-definition digital workflows.
- Solvent washout processing, automated brush depth calibration, forced-air drying, and dual UVA/UVC light finishing.
- Quality control verification using digital stereomicroscopes and dial micrometer relief gauges.
3. Artwork Accuracy & Client Signoff Responsibility
Prepress files are prepared based on the digital artwork and mechanical press parameters supplied by the Client:
- ›Proof Verification: Soft proofs (PDF proofs or 1-bit TIFF preview rips) are transmitted to the Client for technical approval prior to plate imaging.
- ›Final Signoff Authority: The Client is solely responsible for verifying text content, spelling, barcode symbologies & grading, dielines, step-and-repeat layouts, and cylinder repeats. Once written or digital approval is granted, Janvi Arts proceeds to imaging and chemical washout.
- ›Modifications Post-Imaging: Any revisions requested after exposure or chemical washout will be billed as new replacement plate orders.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
Client Warranties: The Client represents and warrants that it owns or possesses all necessary licenses, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secret permissions for all logos, artwork, brand names, and packaging copies submitted to Janvi Arts. The Client agrees to indemnify Janvi Arts against any third-party claims or copyright infringement actions arising from client-provided creative assets.
Prepress Proprietary Tooling: Proprietary screening curves, internal RIP micro-dot algorithms, custom distortion compensation formulas, and prepress automation scripts developed by Janvi Arts remain the intellectual property and know-how of Janvi Arts.
5. Plate Inspection & Claims SLA
Every plate produced at our Chandigarh facility undergoes multi-point stereomicroscopic and relief inspection prior to packaging in light-protective corrugated casings.
- ✓48-Hour Inspection Window: The Client must inspect all plates upon physical delivery and notify Janvi Arts in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt if any manufacturing defect, surface flaw, or dimensional discrepancy is detected.
- ✓Remake Remedy: In the verified event of a manufacturing defect attributable solely to our platemaking process, Janvi Arts will remake and dispatch replacement plates under express priority at no additional cost.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Janvi Arts, its directors, employees, or technical personnel be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, punitive, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of pressroom production time, substrate waste, ink spoilage, press downtime charges, lost profits, or delivery penalties claimed by end-brand customers.
The total aggregate liability of Janvi Arts for any claim arising out of or related to an order shall under no circumstances exceed the total invoice amount paid by the Client for the specific plate(s) giving rise to the claim.
7. Commercial Invoicing & Logistics
- All quotations are subject to applicable GST (Goods and Services Tax) under Indian tax laws.
- Credit terms, where extended, are strictly subject to written approval and timely settlement as per agreed payment cycles.
- While Janvi Arts coordinates with reputed courier, cargo, and direct express transport providers, risk of transit loss or carrier delays passes to the buyer upon handover to the logistics carrier at our Chandigarh dispatch desk.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and all commercial transactions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal dispute, arbitration, or proceeding arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chandigarh, India.
